Rupert Murdoch has hinted on Twitter that the end may be high for page three girls, although a spokesperson for News International has said no comment will be made.
Responding to a comment that described the page as ‘last century’, the media mogul replied "page three so last century! You maybe [sic] right, don't know but considering. Perhaps halfway house with glamorous fashionistas."

Campaign group, No More Page 3, which has attracted almost 65,000 signatures of support on a change.org petition, said in response on Twitter: “We're really plsd that Rupert Murdoch might b thinking of dropping pg3. It's down to every1 who signed the petition & supported the campaign. We won't stop until page 3 is finally, permanently, out of the paper but his tweet yesterday is encouraging.”
