Jonathan Lewis, head of digital and partnership innovation at Channel 4 Sales, has revealed plans to realign the broadcasters partnership team to help drive innovation amongst partners and clients.
As part of the changes, two new partnership controller positions have been created, reporting to partnership lead, Rob Ramsey. Current partnership business manager, Rupinder Downie, has been promoted to the role of partnership controller, sponsorship which sees her take responsibility for selling and delivering broadcast sponsorship across Channel 4 owned and UKTV channels.
The second partnership controller will be focused on developing the advertiser funded programming, product placement, activation and creative solutions side of the business.
Speaking of the changes Lewis commented: “Channel 4 already has an incredible track record for market leading partnerships with advertisers and clients but we feel we can push that agenda even further. We have consulted with clients and agencies over the last few months and believe the new structure will enable the team to work even more effectively in creating unique and attention grabbing communications solutions across multiple platforms.”
The senior partnership team has confirmed that agencies will be consulted over the coming weeks to develop a road map to roll out the new structure.
