Microsoft UK's chief marketing officer Phillipa Snare and Spotify UK's managing director Chris Maples are both set to speak at the latest Empty 13 event.
The breakfast debate, which takes place at Room With a View in London on Wednesday 15 May, will hear from both Snare and Maples, as well as Fru Hazlitt, managing director of commercial, online and interactive at ITV, John Bartleson, director of marketing, D2C at Telefonica and Jon Silk, head of European digital strategy at Bite.
Across separate sessions the speakers will talk about brands becoming more wary of the belief that through the advent of digital media, they can automatically create an intimate relationship with consumers, a theme that has been discovered through the Empty13 movement.
The debate and discussion will aim to explore whether customers truly wish a relationship with brands while also examining the dangers of a company making the assumption that the customer is their friend through social channels.
The event will run between 8.30am - 11am with more information available through the Empty13 website.
