Johnston Press has announced the appointment of David King as chief financial officer for the company, succeeding Grant Murray.
King, who has been a consultant at Johnston Press for the past year, will take up his new role on 1 June.
Prior to this, King was CEO at Time Out Group for four years, after nine years as CFO at BBC Worldwide.
Chairman Ian Russell said: "I welcome David to the Johnston Press Board and believe that his wealth of relevant experience will prove him to be an excellent choice of successor to Grant. Meanwhile I would like to thank Grant on behalf of the Board for everything he has done for Johnston Press over the last two years and wish him well for the future."
This comes two days after Johnston Press reported a year-on-year increase in operating profit for the 18 weeks to 4 May 2013.
