Vauxhall Motors and The FA have announced a four year extension to their sponsorship deal which will see the car manufacturer remain the lead partner for all 24 England teams.
The current Vauxhall agreement expires in July 2014 with the renewal covering up to July 2018, including the FIFA World Cup Finals in Russia.
The new agreement has seen Vauxhall widen its involvement with England, as it becomes the official Presenting Partner of England content on FATV – The FA’s online broadcast channel. Vauxhall has committed to supporting the development of the channel, and the wider distribution of supporter orientated video content.
The deal has also seen Vauxhall align itself with England supporters, helping The FA to improve interaction with followers of the national team and has become the Official Vehicle Supplier to The FA, Wembley Stadium and St. George’s Park
The agreement was negotiated by The FA’s head of sponsorship, Peter Daire, who said that it “testifies to the excellent relationship we have with Vauxhall and the support we have received from all their staff, which we are extremely grateful for."
Club England managing director Adrian Bevington said: "The FA, as a not-for-profit organisation, puts over £100 million back into the game at every level, every year. Vauxhall’s renewed commitment plays a key role in helping us sustain this level of reinvestment.”
Vauxhall Chairman and managing director, Duncan Aldred, added: “Our current sponsorship of the England teams has delivered extraordinary new levels of brand awareness and really cemented our commitment to England’s national sport.
"We’re delighted to continue our relationship with England and look forward to another four years of productive partnership."
