HeadCast, a new technology which allows users to create a personalised animated talking head which is brought to life through audio, has been backed by Stephen Fry.
Chris Chapman, the chief executive of HeadCastLab, has also garnered support from David Gilbert, former chief operating officer of Dixons, and Charles McGregor, founder of Fibernet.
The technology allows smartphone and tablet users to use the animated heads to broadcast spoken words to audiences over the internet.
Fry will be the first to demonstrate how it all works when it is rolled out tomorrow, 20 May. He will launch a series of short ‘HeadCasts’ on a variety of subjects via his ‘Fry App’.
According to the Telegraph, Chapman is in talks with a small number of other celebrities to raise awareness of the product, as well as major brands that can see a use for the technology in promotional activities.
