Gully Mouse makes his gaming debut in the game developed by Milky Tea

Family-run theme park, Gulliver’s World, has turned to Liverpool-based creative production studio, Milky Tea, to develop a new interactive game featuring its mascot, Gully Mouse.

The web-based children’s application sees the kid’s character recreated in 3D and making his debut into the gaming world. The interactive story allows children to interact with the characters and environment as they read and further engages them with the introduction of three mini-games.

The adventure sees Gully Mouse take to the seas to discover hidden treasure and tasks kids to collect pearls, jewels and stars along the way. The game lays the foundations for an immersive learning experience, encouraging reading skills and pronunciation, while promoting coordination, numeracy, and memory retention through the in-app challenges.

Milky Tea has also created promotional material for the theme park advertising the games launch. Fellow Liverpool-based company, Damibu, assisted with the project which saw Milky Tea also work alongside iPhone and Facebook App Developers programming the adventure.

CEO and founder of Milky Tea, Jon Holmes, commented: “We are really proud to have worked with Gulliver’s Theme Parks on this project… we were keen to harness the magic and legacy that the Gulliver’s brand encompasses. The inclusion of mini-games will allow children to remain engaged and encourage them to return time and time again.

"The artwork was developed to a standard we feel today’s children have come to expect.”
