Stephen Fry has signed up for several categories of The Drum’s awards celebrating those who are best at Twitter.
The presenter, actor and comedian has signed up for the celebrity category, as well as the humour, private individual, writing and television categories.
Fry says in his entry that his objectives on Twitter are ‘To spread pleasure, provoke debate and pique interest’, adding that his tweets are about ‘My life, my thoughts, my work - anything that strikes’.
When asked why he deserves a Golden Twits award he replied ‘That’s for others to decide, surely?’
Last year, Alan Carr won the celebrity category of the Golden Twits.
Other entries this year so far include BBC Three, Cadbury and (fake) Prince Charles.
