The Children’s Air Ambulance appoints WAA to promote gala performance of The Bodyguard

The Children’s Air Ambulance has appointed WAA to run various campaigns to promote its gala performance of The Bodyguard, the charity’s biggest ever event.

The event, taking place in December, will now see social media and PR handled by WAA, with a national consumer campaign, as well as trying to encourage corporations to buy tickets.

Krysten Swindells, communications and PR manager for The Children’s Air Ambulance Service, said: “We are delighted to be working with WAA to promote our gala showing of The Bodyguard. This is our biggest event yet and the funds raised from ticket sales will make a significant contribution towards funding our unique and much needed service.

“We receive no government funding, so we have to be creative in our approach to spread the word about the Charity and increase public support. WAA understand exactly what we are trying to achieve and the value that the Charity will bring to children needing specialist care.”

Dan Clifford, head of PR at WAA, added: “As an agency it is highly rewarding to be working for such a great cause. By early 2013, The Children’s Air Ambulance will transport seriously ill children across the UK to specialist care units safely, quickly and comfortably, in order for them to receive the best care possible. We are certain that the strategy we have adopted will help raise the funds needed to see the charity achieve this mission.”
