House of Fraser beats ASOS and Debenhams to become most visible site in natural search

House of Fraser has taken over from ASOS to become the most visible site for fashion retail-related searches.

ASOS maintained a dominant position in the Natural Search space, achieving a strong 57 per cent share of voice in July, a slight increase on April’s 55 per cent.

However, House of Fraser attained a 62 per cent share of voice and a 35 per cent share of visibility in Natural Search listings putting it in top position.

Debenhams, with a strong presence across the natural and paid listings, was second.

Additionally, Marks and Spencer, which ranked fourth, appeared to have followed in the steps of House of Fraser and Debenhams by continuing to invest in Paid Media showing a share of voice which more doubled from 16 per cent in April to 42 per cent in July.

The research comes from Greenlight, the independent digital marketing agency, whose latest report has profiled UK consumer online search behaviour and the most popular search terms used to look for products.

It revealed that 3.2 million searches were made on Google UK for womenswear, menswear and fashion accessories in July with searches for womenswear–related items proving most popular with more than 1.7 million queries.
