Coral bookmakers has launched its first ever large-scale television advertising campaign as part of a £30m, three year investment to position the bookies as an industry leader.
The 40 sec ad will debut on Sky Sports this 1 December during the West Ham v Chelsea match at 12:28 and is titled ‘Raising the Game’.
Opening with a shot of a 1930s style ball arcing through the air the commercial goes onto peel away various layers to showcase the evolution of the humble football through the ages.
This is intended to act as a visual metaphor, equating Coral’s evolution over the years with that of the beautiful game, culminating in a 3d world intended to demonstrate breadth of Coral’s present day offer - principally the explosion of the ‘bet in play’ market.
Coral deliver this via their own custom mobile app which it claims is at least three clicks quicker to place a bet than on competitor’s software.
Matt Prevost, Marketing Director, Coral Interactive comments; “The ads convey the simple message that we’re evolving and in doing so we are raising our game. Our new online and mobile platforms are industry leading with features that our customers have told us they want in a bookmaker – simple navigation, a wide range of content, and great value.
“For the last 86 years Coral has been a trusted name in the UK betting industry and the new creative campaign marks an investment in the relaunch of the Coral brand, online and on the high street while maintaining a clear link to our heritage."
