UKTV has today announced the launch of a new mobile-optimised website for Eden, with the aim of helping to improve viewers’ engagement.
The site has moved towards an image-led design, as well as offering better navigation and search functionality around its programme guide, and the option to have reminder emails sent to make sure viewers remember when their favourite shows are on.
Oliver Davies, UKTV’s head of digital delivery, said: “This represents the start of an exciting year-long project involving the complete redesign of our 10 channel websites and corporate site. We have launched Eden to look stunning, be easy to use, and social. The cutting-edge web design means the channel can live and breathe in a digital space.”
Next month the site will become fully interactive, with the addition of social quizzes, including pop-up infographics, where users can input their Facebook log in details in order to track how they have ranked against their friends.
