Daily Mail signs up to AP Video Hub

The Daily Mail has become the latest newspaper to sign up for the Associated Press’s Video Hub, joining titles such as the Daily Telegraph and Wall Street Journal.

The video delivery platform for digital publishers is intended to satiate demand for video news from websites such as global news, sports, entertainment and lifestyle clips.

Customers now receive a 24/7 live video stream covering events such as the US Elections and Hurricane Sandy which can be broadcast live via websites with editors able to select breaking news content.

Sue Brooks, AP director of video transformation, said: “The Daily Mail has a major media brand with global recognition for its website. AP is proud that it will utilize AP Video Hub to access our video content.”

Brooks added: “Video news is no longer the sole preserve of satellite broadcasters and AP has addressed this with an offering for digital publishers -- a rapidly growing segment of the video news market. AP Video Hub is already proving itself as an indispensable tool, enabling AP customers to create an even richer storytelling experience for their audiences. The recent addition of live news makes Video Hub an even more compelling option.”
