Mobile-first technology platform and advertising network InMobi has announced that Rob Jonas, VP and MD EMEA, has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Jonas joined InMobi in 2009 from Google where he was director of strategic partnerships for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Abhay Singhal, VP global sales and co-founder, is taking over the role of MD EMEA effective immediately.
Naveen Tewari, CEO and co-founder at InMobi commented on Jonas’ exit: “Rob has executed with extraordinary focus, passion and dedication; leading InMobi EMEA from a startup of which few had heard of at the time, to be a major leader in mobile advertising across the entire region.
Under his leadership, the EMEA region has doubled its revenue run rate year-on-year and won several key awards, including the recent Best Mobile Ad Network accolade by Mobile Entertainment. We wish Rob well in his new ventures, and are grateful that he believed in our vision and passion to build a global company.”
Jonas also added: "The last three years have seen InMobi grow to become a mobile advertising leader in EMEA, through the dedication and commitment of one of the best digital teams in the industry, in combination with the vision of the company's founders and the technology platform on which the business is built.
“With strong regional general managers in place; the business is as strong as it has ever been and I am leaving confident that it is poised for the next stage of growth. I'm grateful to the founders for their backing and helping me grow InMobi to a multi-million dollar, profitable business - it's been an amazing journey."
