The Perfume Shop and Elizabeth Arden have teamed up to promote Taylor Swift’s perfume, Wonderstruck, via a Facebook campaign developed by Facebook preferred marketing developer (PMD) One iota.
The competition has asked fans to design Taylor Swift a dress via a Facebook app, using a variety of tops, skirts, and accessories. They can then share their entry across Facebook and other social channels.
The application is capable of producing nearly three trillion different entry combinations, with users having over 250 material colours and patterns to choose from. The winner will be flown to New York for four nights and receive a dress inspired by the pop-star.
To further promote the perfume, each entrant to the competition will be given a discount code to purchase Wonderstruck products from The Perfume Shop. The winner will be chosen by Elizabeth Arden and announced by The Perfume Shop in January 2013.
Damian Hanson, co-founder and CEO of One iota, commented: “We are delighted to be working with The Perfume Shop and Elizabeth Arden on this high profile campaign for the Taylor Swift perfume Wonderstruck. The application we have developed provides an intuitive user experience and enables Facebook fans to be creative to levels never experienced within brand Facebook applications before.”
Natalie Walker, e-commerce manager for The Perfume Shop commented: “Taylor Swift is one of the biggest names in social media with nearly 37 million fans on Facebook and 21 million followers on Twitter and we are thrilled to be the driving force behind such an innovative social media campaign”.
The campaign will be live for four weeks and can be viewed on desktop or mobile devices here.
