Two iPhone fans eager to get their mitts on the latest version of the device have set up camp outside Apple’s Regent Street store, a week before the handset is released.
George Horne and Richard Wheatcroft commenced their vigil in part to raise awareness for their charity, ‘The Hope Boutique Bakery’, by garnering some free media publicity on the back of the stunt.
The pair will now be stuck together day and night to ensure no-one steals their position at the head of the queue.
Speaking from his pavement perch Wheatcroft said: “'I’m absolutely buzzing, it is so exciting being here.
“We’ll either be the tightest brothers after this or we’ll never want to see each other, or an iPhone, again.”
Apple expects to flog as many as 8m units once pre-orders go live.
