It has been revealed that Universal Music, Warner Music and Sony are considering the option of offering support to HMV by cutting the price of CDs and DVDs for whoever takes over the business.
Retail Week has also suggested that ‘generous credit terms’ may be offered to the future owner of HMV, with the aim of keeping the business on the high street.
Last week, the financial Times revealed that Game, the retailer which went into administration in 2012, has expressed an interest in acquiring up to 45 HMV stores.
It has also been announced that HMV giftcards will be able to be redeemed in store from 22 January.
