Digital and direct marketing agency, Wunderman, has appointed Richard Dunn as chief strategy officer.
Richard Dunn has joined the WPP-owned agency from Partners Andrews Aldridge, where he was head of planning and oversaw strategy for a client portfolio that included Santander, T Mobile, Marriott and Rolls Royce
From April, Dunn will be responsible for the overall strategic output of Wunderman, working across its portfolio of clients and will be key to the agency’s new business drive.
Mel Cruickshank, Wunderman CEO, said: “In our connected world, there is an imperative to drive creative and strategic brilliance into the heart of our own and our clients businesses. Richard’s strategic experience in guiding work for international and local brands, in tandem with the newly assembled creative and client services management team we have assembled, will take Wunderman to new heights.”
Dunn also added: “This is an exciting and unique opportunity that I arrive at with much enthusiasm. I see enormous potential to build on Wunderman’s strong existing foundations and prestigious heritage. Mel has gathered a first class team that I am pleased to be a part of and anticipate a great deal from in the coming months.”
Dunn’s appointment forms part of key management changes being implemented by Wunderman. Managing partner Josette James has been promoted to director of client services from her role as managing partner on the Ford and Visa accounts, while Matt Batten joined as chief creative officer from Wunderman Australia in December 2012.
