McDonald’s has released a press campaign to reassure the public that its hamburgers are 100 per cent beef.
The print advert, running in today’s newspapers, has run as part of the fast food brand’s A-Z series campaign as rival Burger King becomes embroiled in the horse meat scandal that initially hit Tesco, explained a spokesperson for McDonald’s.
Burger King has said that it has now dropped the supplier that provided it with burgers that contained horse meat, following the same being discovered in frozen beef burgers sold by supermarket chains such as Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Iceland.
