Consumer confidence in making payments on a mobile device has increased as increased numbers of smartphone users, 50 per cent of men and 35 per cent of women, would now spend over £30 on a gift purchased via a mobile platform, research from Mojiva has found.
The research found that m-commerce is expected to grow this year, with two thirds (66 per cent) believing that a mobile device will make purchasing a Valentine’s gift easier.
It was also found that over half of British women (52 per cent) prefer to purchase a Valentine’s gift from their mobile device than to visit a retail location.
The research of 1000 consumers found that Smartphone and tablet users are engaging with mobile ads as 65 per cent have tapped on a mobile ad in the past six months, while 53 per cent of consumers have favourable opinions of brands who make use of mobile advertising.
