The House designed the brand identity for the ninth Special Olympics GB

The 2013 Special Olympics has worked with brand agency The House on the Games identity, event icons and a volunteer website.

Some 1,700 athletes from England, Scotland and Wales will compete in the Games, the country’s largest provider of sports training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities. Held every four years, this summer marks the ninth Special Olympics with the Games taking place in Bath from 28 August to 1 September.

Karen Wallin, CEO of Special Olympics GB, commented: “We are thrilled with the new look website and identity for the National Summer Games in Bath which has been created by local agency, The House.”

The Bath-based agency aimed to capture the Games good nature with the event logo which ties in with one of the city’s iconic attractions, the Royal Crescent. The website, created in conjunction with digital specialists Storm, was unveiled at a civic reception in the Guildhall attended by Olympian, Jason Gardener.

Wallin added: “We are delighted with the vibrancy and colour which has been injected into the look and feel of the logo and online.”
