NABS begins search for industry unsung heroes for Centenary celebrations

Advertising charity NABS is set to begin its search for 10 unsung heroes from within the industry as part of its centenary year celebrations.

The Centenary Award will aim to recognise 10 individuals from media and advertising who their peers believe are helpful, show strength of character, make others feel positive and are generous with their time.

Social media activity across Twitter and Facebook drive voting on the NABS website. Meanwhile, a judging panel made up of Jeremy Bullmore non-executive director of WPP, Cilla Snowball group CEO of AMV BBDO, Stevie Spring, chairman of BBC Children In Need, Naren Patel, CEO of Primesight, Phil Georgiadis, co-founder of Walker Media and Simon Daglish, group commercial director of ITV, will determine the final 10.

Zoë Osmond, chief executive officer, NABS said: “Our Centenary Award is for those unsung heroes of our industry; those who go above and beyond the call of duty to make a real difference within their working environment and the industry as a whole.”

The unsung heroes will attend the BANS Big Birthday Bash on 9 May.
