Fashion brand Gucci has launched its mobile optimised website in UK following beta testing in the US to bolster its existing e-commerce site.
Optimised by Huge the mobile friendly version of the Gucci.com domain has seen mobile conversion rates increase by more than 70% since its introduction across the pond with mobile revenue growing 4x year-on-year.
The mobile site now accounts for 27% of total traffic to Gucci.com and 13% of total revenue there, a feat the fashion house is keen to replicate in other markets.
Gucci president and CEO Patrizio di Marco, said: “Gucci has always prided itself on providing customers with unparalleled shopping experiences, whether in our stores or online. Based on the rapid growth we have seen in mobile purchases it was important for us to create the kind of luxury experience in mobile that we are known for in the industry and that our customers expect from us.”
