the7stars has created a campaign for Warner Records UK, launch partner of YouTube channel AmpRockTV, which today launched a website to accompany the success of its online music hub.
AmpRockTV began broadcasting last year and gained more than four million views and 12,000 subscribers. Partnering the launch is Warner Records UK, whose artist Biffy Clyro will gain 100 per cent of the site's advertising slots for the first two weeks.
Catrina Dear, account manager at the7stars, said: "The market for rock content online is pretty fragmented and the quality of content and the success of AmpRockTV as a YouTube channel means that this launch marks an exciting development in the online rock world. The Warner roster includes the likes of Linkin Park, Deftones and Green Day, so there is a clear synergy between Warner and the editorial content of AmpRockTV. This partnership provides the ideal platform for Warner to reach its core audience."
The channel was founded by music video director Tim Mattia, who spent four years at Nme.com before creating the channel. He used the slot to launch 'The Words' video series, featuring major artists Korn, Marilyn Manson and My Chemical Romance.
Head of digital at Warner Records UK, Sam Stubbings, added: "The move of AmpRockTV from YouTube to a full website is a significant development for the rock music market. The new site will be a valuable addition and competitor in terms of delivering quality content and editorial for this market - so to be the exclusive partner for this launch is hugely exciting."
The website will feature music news and high quality video and photography from the industry. Advertising formats include banners, MPUs and bespoke slots.
