Boots UK has announced a new on-air and online programme, The Boots Feel Good Forum, which aims to get its audience feeling good about their health and beauty.
The collaboration between Boots UK and OMD Drum, national broadcast stations Real Radio and Smooth Radio, production company Somethin’ Else and in partnership with Mumsnet, will be hosted by broadcaster and journalist Kate Thornton offering health and beauty advice in a consumer lifestyle programme format.
Airing every Sunday for eight weeks across the Real Radio and Smooth Radio networks, each show sees Thornton joined by members of the Boots Feel Good Forum panel to discuss a range of topics including family health, top to toe beauty, sleep, stress and energy, and looking and feeling great.
“We understand that our customers are always looking for ways to improve their health and beauty…the Boots Feel Good Forum gives our customers the expert advice and support they need to make their ambitions a reality,” commented Boots UK marketing director, Elizabeth Fagan.
Questions for the panel will be created live each week via the Boots Feel Good Forum which is hosted on the Mumsnet website. After each show users will be encouraged to discuss their own experiences via discussion threads, or by reading supporting articles on Mumsnet Talk Boards. Bitesize pieces of content will also features across Mumsnet, Smooth and Real Radio.
Laura Fenton, client services director at OMD Drum, said: “The Feel Good Forum is a truly unique format. By putting our audience at the heart of the experience we hope to provide inspiration, tips and advice tailored to their needs that allows them to take active steps to feel good.”
Real and Smooth Radio creative solutions director, John Walker, added: “This is the most innovative programme of its kind, involving plenty of listener participation on health and beauty topics that they tell us they want to know more about. They will play a major role in shaping the programme each week. The partnership provides Boots UK with a creative platform to highlight its position as the UK’s leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer whilst providing help and information to listeners on ways to feel good and stay healthy.”
