Microsoft Advertising has announced that UK GM of Microsoft Advertising & Online (A&O) Andy Hart has been promoted to the role of VP A&O Europe with immediate effect.
The newly created role sees Hart managing the Multi-National Accounts (MNA) team, working in partnership with international advertisers and agencies in order to develop and deliver engaging multinational and digital solutions in multiple markets.
Before joining Microsoft, Hart held roles with Sunday Business Newspaper, Ask Jeeves UK, Associated Northcliffe, and spent seven years in leadership positions with advertising agencies.
Replacing Hart as GM for Advertising & Online in the UK is Owen Sagness, the current A&O lead in Canada. Having spent 17 years with Microsoft Canada Sagness has held a succession of progressively senior roles.
Speaking via his blog, corporate vice president of Microsoft Advertising & Online, Frank Holland, said he was “happy to announce several important leadership changes” adding “these appointments will help Microsoft grow and drive long-term success of our advertising business across Western Europe.”
Didier Ongena has also been revealed as the new GM for A&O Western Europe. Based in Brussels, Ongena will lead the sales and marketing functions in key Western European markets.
