The IPA has announced that Ian Priest, founding partner of VCCP and MD of Chime, has been elected as its new president.
Priest’s appointment took place following a vote of members at a special council meeting yesterday and he will deliver his inaugural speech at an IPA member’s lunch on 17 April where he will formally succeed incumbent Nicola Mendelsohn.
Priest is currently on the executive board of Chime, heading up Chime’s new ventures and international expansion and is also a member of the IPA Council and a former chairman of the IPA value of advertising group (from 2006 to 2008).
At the same meeting four agencies were also elected into membership; namely 383, CDM London, Innocean Worldwide and RadioWorks to bring the total membership to 291.
