Apple has hired Norman Foster’s architecture firm, Foster + Partners, to design its new retail stores.
The firm, which is currently working on Apple’s new $5bn “spaceship” headquarters, has reportedly been tasked with revamping Apple’s retail outlets by helping on the design brief.
The reports come after the US Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple the trademark for its current store designs.
Foster previous design work includes the McLaren Technology Centre and the Hearst Tower in New York.
Both Apple and Foster + Partners have refrained from commenting on the reports.
