Next week's ZenithOptimedia Global Advertising Forecast will report the beginning of a growth in recovery in the US, the media buying company's CEO Steve King has revealed.
Speaking at the Publicis Investor Day held at LBi's Offices in London today, King said the company's new report will reveal that the world's most important advertising sector, the United States, is seeing growth.
King added, however, that the recovery in Europe is proving much slower according to his company's research.
While he would not reveal final numbers while the report is still being finalised, King did say: "We're seeing a tough recovery in Europe and we're seeing some flat situations in Europe. In the Eurozone there remains a drag.
"We are seeing a much stronger recovery in US. There is a quicker recovery out of the downturn which we see coming through consumer confidence. We are certainly looking at a much more optimistic outlook."
The most recent ZenithOptimedia report, released in December, forecast global ad recovery to accelerate from 4.1 per cent growth in 2013 to 5.6 per cent in 2015. It predicted that North America and ‘Advanced Asia’ would deliver solid 4 per cent to 5 per cent annual growth.
