Digital studio calls9 has released the first edition of self-funded newsstand app Champagne World.
The first edition marks the second release from Champagne World after a preview edition was released in February of this year.
The free lifestyle application sees guest contributions from the likes of Sotheby’s and the Comité Champagne as well as interviews with World Sommelier Champion Gerard Basset and Tom Parker Bowles. The first edition also includes a competition to win tickets to the Cannes Film Festival, courtesy of Searcys Champagne Bars.
The interactive app also includes audio and video content which was filmed on location in the Champagne region.
Of the launch editor-in-chief Geoff Thornton said: “Champagne symbolises success, luxury and wealth, but it is no longer at the exclusive behest of the rich and famous. Champagne is very accessible and affordable through supermarkets and wine outlets across the globe and anyone is welcome to indulge.
