Condé Nast is eyeing the expansion of its Vogue-branded fashion course to other titles in its portfolio which includes Glamour, Wired and Tatler.
The magazine publisher, which launched the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design earlier this year, will focus on refining the Vogue fashion course, but it is considering using it as a starting point to launch courses for its other titles, according to principal of the college Susie Forbes.
Speaking at the Professional Publishers Association event in London yesterday Forbes said the Vogue course has had “immense” demand from students keen to enroll.
“We have all our other brands to possibly roll out into courses – Wired, Tatler and Glamour – all of which could be a springboard for an amazing education offering,” she said.
In the short-term it will focus on honing the Vogue course, and determining its optimum length, according to Forbes. “We are thinking about the possibility for a two-year undergraduate degree – there is a demand from students now to not necessarily have to spend three years doing a degree.
“We also wanted to ensure the course is accessible to all so although we charge a fee we have now established a bursary scheme and we have three full time scholarship students starting this October,” she said.
It will also look to partner with universities to offer Masters and other types of offerings, according to Forbes.
