The School of Communication Arts has announced the launch of a competition, in partnership with Langland, as it looks to award three scholarships to potential students.
The basis of the brief is, ‘Come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!’ and is tasking all entrants with identifying a problem in their life and how to go about solving it.
Marc Lewis, the school’s dean, said: “Education can be unbalanced socially and by breaking down barriers we can make it more inclusive. Diversity leads to better ideas and ultimately makes our industry stronger.”
The closing date for the competition is Friday 28 June, with 10 entrants then to be shortlisted.
From this, there will be three winners: one being the ‘most liked’ entrant as voted for on social media platforms and the remaining two judged by the students and ultimately by the dean and Langland.
The School of Communication Arts has already given 27 scholarships in its four year history.
