Online electrical retailer AO has marked a huge rebrand with its first TV advert.
The ad was created by BMB and MediaCom and the rebrand designs came from 10 Associates. As part of the rebrand the business has dropped the Appliances Online name in favour of a shortened AO for marketing materials.
Head of brand and social media at AO Yossi Erdman commented: "We wanted to create a brand that people want to know, be part of and share, and it's proven to be doing just that.
"We have seen our Facebook followers reach one million, with customers interacting with Facebook photo posts with homemade versions of the smiley face logo and requests for the official smiley face of the brand - it all goes to show it really is the start of a movement."
The business has embraced social media in its marketing strategy, using Facebook and Google Hangouts in particular to reach consumers.
