Leeds Building Society has created an interactive guide highlighting how much Brits spend on their various habits, revealing that the average adult spends £23.72 in pubs, bars and clubs each week.
The research, carried out by YouGov on over 2000 Brits, found that UK adults who buy cigarettes spend an average of £24.62 per week on tobacco, and suggests the public could save money by kicking some of their vices.
Gary Brook, head of corporate communication at Leeds Building Society, said: “Some people may be surprised to see the cumulative cost each week of their lifestyle, and what savings they are missing out on. If you want to identify areas to make cutbacks in your spending, our guide is a good place to start."
The tool allows users to see exactly how much they could potentially set aside by putting this money into a savings account instead.
