StartUp Britain, a campaign to celebrate and inspire entrepreneurialism in the UK, has appointed iris as its first creative and strategic agency without a pitch.
The first task for iris, which will work on 'a range of briefs', is to promote the PopUp Britain initiative which will allow entrepreneurs all over the country to rent pop-up stores at discount rates.
The agency has created a PopUp Britain logo and a nationwide marketing campaign as the scheme is rolled out across the UK in time for Christmas.
StartUp Britain's Emma Jones said: “We decided to take on a creative agency because marketing is a key part of any business. We have always believed that and as such we need to invest in it ourselves.
"PopUp Britain is a great initiative which we hope will rejuvenate the British high street and is something we can actively be doing to help entrepreneurs.”
Other initiatives in the pipeline for StartUp Britain and iris will include National Start-Up Day on the 14th November, which will be a nationwide celebration of start-ups across the UK, with events held in schools, workplaces and pubs.
