Channel 4 and Penguin have commissioned Together Design to create a brand style guide to accompany the release of the new film ‘The Snowman and The Snowdog’.
Together was awarded the account following a competitive pitch earlier in the year, the agency was tasked with creating the logo, packaging formats and a toolkit of assets from the film. The style guide created by Together aims to translate the charm and craft of the film into a range of winter and Christmas products, including gift apparel and homeware.
“The sequel heralds an exciting time for The Snowman which perfectly captures the magic of childhood and wintery wonder and remains as relevant today as it was 30 years ago,” commented Puffin managing director, Francesca Dow. “The Snowman and The Snowdog animation will be as enchanting and memorable as the original and the new style guide reflects the craftsmanship of the brand and the new animation beautifully.”
The Snowman and The Snowdog will be at the centrepiece of Channel 4’s Christmas schedule this year. To celebrate the new film, which marks the 30th anniversary of The Snowman’s film adaptation, Puffin, an imprint of Penguin, is publishing an eBook of the original The Snowman book read by Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Snowman and The Snowdog was directed by Hilary Audus with art direction by Joanna Harrison, both of whom work as animators on the original film.
