Rennie has announced it is to sponsor selected seasonal programme across, Channel 4, Film 4 and UKTV’s portfolio from Monday 19 November.
The heartburn and indigestion tablet is set to sponsor peak programming across Channel 4’s festive schedule following a deal negotiated by MediaCom Beyond Advertising and Channel 4 Sales.
Rennie will also sponsor UKTV’s ‘Festive Entertainment’ strand, which amounts to some 1600 hours of programming. The sponsorship will also feature throughout Film 4’s daytime schedule.
A senior brand manager at Rennie commented: “This is excellent way to drive brand awareness in a new and engaging way amongst our target consumers. Rennie has a natural association with Christmas and we are excited to be able to deliver a series of new and entertaining seasonal idents alongside the quality programming that our consumers will be enjoying this year on Channel 4 and UKTV.”
Andy Moore, group partnership manager at Channel 4, added: “We're delighted to join forces with Rennie for Christmas, the perfect partnership for the indulgent festive season. This is a far reaching sponsorship deal which not only spans across our seasonal content on our main channel and Film4, but also UKTV's portfolio.”
Of the deal MediaCom Beyond Advertising’s associate director, Ivan Lazarov, said: “Christmas viewing across C4 & UKTV offers Rennie a big TV occasion, as well as a family presence which, combined with humorous idents, will enable the brand to connect with a period of traditional excess and drive huge brand awareness.”
