Samsung mount Galaxy Note 10.1 Christmas campaign

Samsung has debuted an online video campaign to plug its Galaxy Note 10.1 to capitalise on the lucrative festive market.

Designed to promote the Premium Suite upgrade the gadget is being differentiated from its rivals by its ability to create, as well as consume, content.

This includes an ability to multitask, improved S-Pen functionality and an upgrade to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

Entitled ‘A Note to Santa’ the video features a girl (Lily) and her father who use the device to pen a letter to Santa alongside an image of Lily's hoped for Christmas present, a bike.

David Chandler, client services director at digital agency Rebel, who produced this campaign, said: “Online video is the perfect platform to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the GALAXY Note 10.1’s capabilities.

“Our challenge was to communicate functional messages in a charming, characterful way. The tablet market is growing quickly, and is highly competitive – so ensuring the GALAXY Note 10.1 is noticed, shared and remembered is key.”

The campaign was conceived by Rebel and follows the ‘Great Creators’ campaign which generated over 3.2m views.
