WPP has announced that one of its wholly-owned operating companies, Wunderman, has purchased a majority stake in Australia’s Bienalto, the digital marketing and analytics consultancy.
Wunderman, which specialises in digital and relationship marketing, stumped up around $1bn for its majority stake.
Bienalto was founded in 2005 and is based known for designing and optimising customer experience and engagement with digital platforms for clients including Suncorp, Colonial First State and Frontline Systems.
It is the latest in a series of investments made by WPP as it seeks to grow its digital offer globally, a sector which now accounts for 30% of total group revenues of $16bn.
