Shazam is celebrating after surpassing the psychologically important 300m user milestone, a landmark which coincides with the unveiling of new iPad and Android apps.
The redesigned software sports a completely redesigned home screen, including an improved layout for tag results for both TV and music and a new method to browse what friends have been tagging.
Other new features include an interactive mapping feature which enables fans to zoom into any city to discover, buy or share the most popular music people are listening to in that location.
Improvements have also been made to the Shazam Friends feature, which allows people to discover fresh music and media from their friends, in addition to providing quick access to preview and comment on friends tags.
