Coca-Cola has confirmed that it has appointed MediaCom to oversee media planning and buying for the business in the UK.
MediaCom take over from the incumbent Vizeum who have held the account for over 10 years.
Jon Woods, managing director of Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland confirmed the appointment adding: “The appointment will be effective from July 2013. We would like to thank Vizeum for their high quality work over the past 12 years. They have been a true, collaborative partner and we are grateful for their expertise.”
MediaCom will now handle planning and buying for all Coca-Cola brands including Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite and Fanta.
MediaCom fought off competition from Vizeum, StarcomMediaVest Group and MEC to win the account thought to be worth around £30 million.
