It has been announced that restructuring expert Hilco has bought 132 HMV stores, and all nine branches of Fopp, in a deal which could save 2,500 jobs.
The £50 million deal follows the entertainment company going to administration in January.
Earlier this year, Hilco, which owns HMV Canada, bought over the debt from HMV. Reports state that the debt was over £170 million.
