Where’s Wally? Featuring in Wembley Stadium's latest campaign for its Wembley Tours

Wembley Stadium has launched a campaign featuring iconic bobble hat-wearing traveller Where's Wally? as it promotes its Stadium Tours over the October school holidays.

The partnership with Where's Wally comes following a campaign earlier in the year which saw Beano characters promoting the Stadium Tours and using Wally for Wembley's latest campaign has coincided with the iconic comic character's 25th anniversary.

Running from 30 October - 4 November, the campaign has asked fans to get involved by looking for a real-life Wally during a stadium tour. During the tour visitors will also be able to walk the players’ tunnel, have their photo taken with the replica FA Cup, and view the 1966 World Cup crossbar and the 1948 Olympic flag.

As part of the campaign, Wembley Stadium is also giving away limited edition posters featuring Wally and other famous faces from the football world, to those who take a tour.

The poster, which was created by original author and illustrator Martin Handford, has featured The Bobby Moore Statue, The FA Cup and The Jules Rimet Trophy as well as footballers such as Stephen Gerrard and Joe Hart.

Roger Maslin, managing director of Wembley Stadium, commented: “Wally is such an icon and we are thrilled to have him join the crowds at Wembley to celebrate his 25th Anniversary. He should feel at home surrounded by all the other legends that have played here.

“Visitors will be able to go behind-the-scenes at one of the most famous stadiums in the world while they hunt for one of the most infamous faces (and hats!) in the country.”
