Calor Gas has announced the appointment of Cogent Elliott to handle its consumer PR campaigns.
For the first two campaigns, Cogent Elliott will be required to develop a programme of awareness-raising activities promoting Calor’s range of cylinder gas and BBQs, as well as celebrating the benefits of camping, caravanning and life in the great outdoors.
Mike Phillipson, CEO at Cogent Elliott, said: “It’s a testament to the efforts of the Cogent PR team that it attracts long-established household names whilst still in the early stages of growth itself. Calor is another great win for Louise and her team.
“What is also reassuring is that this consumer PR win is complimentary to the existing accounts we have with Calor elsewhere in the agency. It’s further evidence that the integrated, multi-faceted Cogent offer really does set us apart.”
The PR team is now working with chef Marcus Bean and Masterchef finalist Claire Hutchings at events such as the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC to promote Calor Gas.
Alastair Lovell, head of marketing at Calor, said: “As we were already impressed by the service provided by other departments within Cogent, it made the decision to work with the PR team a little easier. Nevertheless, Cogent PR has already impressed us, proving enthusiastic, strategic and capable of delivering results.”
