Nick Jones, who has held the role of head of digital at the Prime Minister's Office and Cabinet Office since August 2011, has left to take up a role at Visa Europe.
In his new role as vice president of corporate comms digital, Jones will be involved in handling digital, mobile, technology and payments, according to a tweet he posted.
Prior to his role as head of digital, Jones was the director of interactive services at the COI.
